Talk About Cheesecake

Musings, meanderings and meditation for my mind.

Who, me?

Did you ever try to write a paragraph about yourself? Well try it, it’s not easy. Here goes.

Statistics

I am a mum of two, a beautiful, loud and demanding 6 year old girl and a charming, stubborn and handsome boy of 2. My husband and I married in March 2012 after 12 years of procrastination. We have 3 chickens, 1 cat, 1 puppy and a varying number of fish.

And as for me . . .

I studied literature and creative writing at university before moving into a temporary job in an internet bank, designed to keep paying the rent while I found that publishing career. Thirteen years later the bank closed and I left with a lot of technical and regulatory knowledge about the credit card world and not a lot of experience in publishing. My bookcases have expanded, strained at the edges and finally burst, I bought a course in proofreading a long time ago and I wander in and out of the local library.

Now it’s time to try writing for myself.

  2. Hi Piper! Your dog is sooo cute. … I tagged you for a coffee quiz. If you want to answer the questions, see here: http://breezybooksblog.wordpress.com/2013/01/05/drink-up/

    • Hey Maddie. Cute, but a total delinquent with a penchant for fox poo. She has a stockpile somewhere in the garden – this week has been a week of many baths!
Ooh, a coffee quiz. One of my favourite drinks. I will go take a peek.

  3. Thanks for writing “I wish I were…”, it allowed me to find you. Your writing is honest, gritty in a delightful way, and very engaging. That is the most adorable puppy above!

  4. I think I should let you know that I headed over to your blog because of the comment you wrote on the “iCan’t take it anymore” post about Mac technology. Your response was so level-headed and intelligent, that I wanted to see what else you had to say. I’m glad I stopped by, because I like what I found. 🙂
I’ll be looking forward to reading more of your posts!

Let me know what you think!
